The Founder of LibertySmart, James Biorge has worked tirelessly for several years with a smart card application that provides greater security to on-line transactions. Among other advantages, this technology will virtually eliminate identity theft and fraud, while simplifying the way we interact with the electronic world. A need was brought to his attention for an enhanced automated benefit program. This was the beginning of LibertySmart's mission. LibertySmart began its progressive "evolution" in May, 2005.

Upon evaluation of the market, it was discovered that there were inefficiencies in identifying the actual financial requirements for the employee's out-of-pocket health care needs, and the tailoring of benefit programs to meet those needs. This necessitated an investigation which started the evolution of LibertySmart as a company with the mission of enhancing health care programs to identify the needs of employees and optimizing their benefit programs to meet those needs. With no one else in the industry using this approach, LibertySmart developed and filed a patent application to protect this methodology, developed proprietary tools for employees to use, received an authoritative legal opinion letter, and recently began offering their services to employers.
